Great School. They are very helpful and got me where I needed to go!

I only rated this school a one because zero was not an option. I chose to attend CWI's workforce program so I could get the education I needed to be a medical assistant based on the reputation of the main instructor and her teachers assistant. Early in the program we were informed that the teachers assistant was leaving and another instructor would be taking her place. The teachers assistant that CWI hired was not the most competent person to teach the the important parts of the course. Many times that we asked questions she told us to google it. She was more interested in wasting the class time that we paid for to talk about her personal life, which was brought up to Student Services. No learning took place during these sections of the program. We got the run around from the workforce development team. They wanted to offer us makeup classes that we would have to schedule our time around to attend which the dates constantly change from day to day. When they finally decided on the date and had a makeup class, it ended up being a waste of time.nThe workforce team avoided our class as much as they could. We were made promises that someone would come in to our classroom to talk to us, but then no one would show up.nAt the end of our program, which was the clinical part, they fired the main teacher. When we voiced our dissatisfaction we were told that they had hired a teacher that was more than qualified to teach the program.and that if we were not happy we could quit the program and get our money back. Well with only weeks of the program left we decided to stay. The new teacher was just as bad as the teachers assistant we had. She was supposed to be helping us get ready to go out on our externship by reviewing with us about injections, blood draws, EKG's and vital signs. Most of the time she was out of the room leaving us to teach ourselves or she would just dismiss us early so she could go take care of her own personal business. She also was telling us false information about when we could take our RMA test. She told us that we couldn't take it until she gave us permission and she also said that we could work with out being registered. Which is not true. When I told her that Saint Lukes wouldn't hire anyone without credentials she got mad and left the room. When she came back she said fine you can take the test before finishing the externship and if you fail it then you will fail the whole MA program. Which is not true at all. She also told us that she would be checking in with us at our extern sites to see how we were doing, which is her job and she never showed up. Also when I tried to call her she would never answer her phone or return my calls. We were left on our own and forgotten.nThe person they had handling all the paperwork for our externships had no idea what they were doing. When I came in to the office to turn in my time sheet, I told him that I took the RMA and passed. Then he started asking me questions about how I signed up for the test, because he had other students calling him asking for help and he had no clue how to help them.nIn conclusion, I would not recommend that anyone attend the CWI workforce program, because they do not care about their students. All they care about is your money. If you have any concerns they will not listen. They will ignore you and hope that you go away.

I am very pleased with my experience thus far at CWI. I recommend this to anyone thinking of going back to school.

EXCELLENT PLACE TO LEARN, THE ONLY PROBLEM I SEE IS A HUGE LACK OF COMMUNICATION THAT HAPPENS WAY TO MUCH!!
