The Egyptian Theatre

Have been to the Egyptian Theater a couple of times. Once for a Boise Philharmonic performance and once to watch some silent movies, which was surprisingly fun with the live organist. I'd give you more stars but for the Pravda-like propaganda on the sign outside. ud83dude44ud83dude44ud83dude44 Such bullsh*t.

The Egyptian is fun for all ages. They vote on which classic movie will play that month and then do family friendly shows and adult nights depending on the film. Costume contests start the night and an interactive movie experience where cheers and jeers and general fun are highly encourage. Sign up for their emails to vote for your favorite classic movies and stay in the loop about other events coming to this darling historic stage.

This place has been a tradition I go to every year and it’s the best! It throwbacks to the 90’s and 80’s, or even shows silent movies. Costume contests are sometimes held and the design into the building is very creative! Booing the villains and laughing out loud in a movie theatre feels different in the Egyptian theatre and is one of my favorite places down town.

We go for the old movies they play especially at Christmas! A really great Experience that all should enjoy! The popcorn is not good though lol
