I went in to Precious Metal Arts after I had visited another shop downtown where I received poor customer service. When I entered I was greeted by the most genuine smile. Mike is incredibly nice. I brought in a pair of cuff-links that were my grandfathers. I thought they needed some serious repair (which is what the other shop I stopped in had told me) before I would be able to give them to my husband on our wedding day. Mike had a look and said that they were in great shape and they just needed to be polished, which he did for me for FREE! I will return for my future jewelry repair needs. Outstanding customer service!

If I could give Mike a million stars, I would. He is absolutely one of the best artists in the state. When I went into his shop, I had a fraction of a vision, I was getting married in two months, and the last detail to figure out was the rings-and I was completely lost. Upon walking into Mike's shop, I instantly could feel the love and passion reverberating off his walls. This guy cheerfully greeted me, dropped what he was doing, and welcomed me into his space, like I was a long lost friend. We told him that we didn't have a big budget to work with but wanted something non-traditional and unique to us. Mike asked my partner and I a bunch of questions about us (I ended up telling him all about our very first big trip that we took together- to the Tetons). Mike's face lit up. He got so excited. He sketched out a vision within minutes, taking into account everything I had told him about my love for negative space in jewelry. Even though this was a smaller project in the grand scheme of the kind of work this guy does, he treated our rings with the same passion and love he does every single piece of his work. There is no one else's art I would want on our bodies for the rest of forever than Mike's. I came in looking for a decent jeweler and left with a lifelong friend and the most beautiful wedding rings of all. We constantly get compliments on them and I love being transported to a time and space that is so monumental in my life. Also- HUGE EXTRA BONUS- he has the cutest shop dog in the world.

Mike is an incredible artist, super nice and does fantastic work. The dog is great too! Mike will take the time to help develop any idea you have for a special piece of jewelry.
