I had a great education here with supportive teachers that set me in a path to success. More than that, though, I'm grateful for the continued opportunities to come back and contribute.nnAs a board member of Conestoga Valley Education Foundation I'm continually seeing the innovative and excellent ideas coming up from the faculty. As an occasionally outside, guest speaker I'm always impressed with the attentive students who are engaged learners often feasting for more out of my stories and lectures.

Public school system will leave every honest, open minded person with an awful, pungent and super sour taste in the mouth. CV is no exception.

The district was the best district in the U.S. until high school. The high school is dirty in some spots, laptops that are cheap (in $ and durability), a few nasty and smart teachers (I can name a few.), as well as a non-enforcement of incorrect communications (profanity, threats, fighting). The school is good though, but there are many things they should work out before I can give any higher.nnOn the positive side, there are many teachers that strictly enforce their students to do their best. Some even maintain a very easy-going personality, even if they have to yell at a kid. Some of them are even funny.nnI do also have to mention that these $200 laptops (as I call them) distributed to over 1,400 students isn't really enough. Yeah. sure the total comes to over $280,000, but they spent over two million dollars on a totally new football stadium. I know it had a sinkhole forming, but they could've just fixed it. Just look at McCaskey! Their fields are old, and I'm sure they had a couple sinkholes! They could've spent the money on something better. Ahem, Apple MacBooks instead of these crappy Lenovo X140e pieces of junk. Yes, they may be expensive (they start at $1,299; so: $1,299 * 1,400 = $1,818,600 (leaves $181,400; enough to repair a sinkhole (although I didn't know the size of the sinkhole)), but they are at least a durable, long lasting, as well as easy-to-use product.nnIn a nutshell, this school has it's hits and misses. A few tweaks stated above may make me jump up a star or two, but they'll just have to show it.

Lots of tennis courts. Great place to play on a summer evening.
