Had a great meeting here last night I reallly appreciate that Johnna takes the time to set up meetings so that those of us who are involved in the ministry of community suppers are able to get together and coordinate our efforts. It is also very helpful for anyone who is not involved but is interested in becoming involved has a place to ask questions from people who can answer the questions they have and offer advice on things that they may not have considered

I went here to Joseph's Closet. They give out warm coats, caps, gloves, socks, and some other things for those who come in. They were really nice ladies that helped me. You need to register with an ID. They also have a limit what you can get, and do have rules that need to be followed. On my first visit they did not have a coat to fit me. They suggested that I could come back before they closed that day. They said they were getting some coats later that day. I returned before closing, and found a very nice warm coat that fits well.nI have not been to the church itself, just to thier Joseph's Closet for warm coat, socks, gloves, and hat.

I came to this church after two other Methodist churches that treated men basically like second class people, excusing their actions through privilege narratives, such as white and male privilege. Here, the pastor told me to my face she didn’t endorse such ideas and that she was disgusted by anyone who did. After a father’s day service that barely even mentioned what day it was, and a message a few weeks later about “white privilege” I left and shook the dust off my feet. For a congregation that cares so much about diversity, their whiter than Swiss cheese, I’m going back to my old conservative congregation, who actually is about 40% black, so I guess there’s room for this white person. If that’s what they care about… I guess they should be happy, I’m where my color says I belong.
