Boise Hare Krishna Temple and Vedic Cultural Center is the first Hare Krishna temple in Boise, Idaho which was established in 1986. It has a golden dome on the top of the temple. A hand-carved teakwood altar from India's Jaipur is located at the center of the temple. On the alter, there are statues of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Sri Sri Radha Bankebihari and Sri Sri Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra Maharani.nnOn the south side of the temple is a stained-glass window created by Meridian artist Michael Booth which highlights the “Ten Incarnations of Krishna”. The temple celebrates eight major holidays of Hinduism. In the back of the temple, directly opposite the altar, is a life-size statue of Srila Prabhupada.nnOn Sundays, the temple provides meals to everyone who goes there. It is one of the spiritual and calm and welcoming religious houses in Boise. Everyone is welcome here.

I enjoy visiting Hare Krishna temple near BSU because of the positive vibe that this place radiates. The people who work there are friendly and welcoming to people of any religion or background. I find them very generous to provide delicious vegetarian meal on Sunday evenings.
