Weis Markets Pharmacy
Reviews

Very good experience. Our former pharmacy closed abruptly. We went to Weis. The tech was very nice and helpful.n10/29/20 Update: We are still very pleased with the pharmacy. We are self pay for our prescriptions, they go the extra mile, especially Lori Jacques, to make sure we are getting the best pricing.

I wish there were more than one set of things that you could review. The pharmacist and techs and other employees have always been very helpful. I would give them a5. However the way Weis has things set up is not as customer oriented as it could be. They do have a separate window that says prescription drop off, and they have a prescription pickup window. The pickup window usually has a line out the wazoo. The drop off usually has no one. The problem is, for such a busy pharmacy, they only have a single customer wide window for pick up. This pharmacy is busy enough that it should have two registers, and 1 register person on duty most of the time, with another person manning the second register as needed. What is done now is a person that is helping fill scripts, runs to the register to wait on customers.nnAnother thing is contact with the pharmacist. At the pickup window it is barely wide enough that if the pharmacist wants to talk to you or vice versa, the pharmacist can edge in and talk to you. Unfortunately this is not HIPAA compliance. They need to have an area that is secluded for the pharmacist to be able to talk to the patient. They could ask the patient to walk over to the drop off station, that I've never been there and seen that done. It could be it could have been but I personally haven't seen it. The problem is that they are so busy, and this is with most pharmacies today, the pharmacist does not have time to take time with the patient. And this is not to blame at least completely Weis market. It's more to blame on the infernal insurance companies that pay less and less every time they make a contract update, so the pharmacies have to feel more and more scripts to keep themselves on their feet.
