We have been eating at the Stagecoach Inn for many years and their prime rib is quite delicious. I decided to try their Porterhouse the other night and I’m not a fan - the steak had very little flavor and the whole thing tasted more like a fillet versus a beef tenderloin or T-Bone steak, it was also a little tough versus tender and juicy. It did make for a great breakfast burrito the next morning though. Their Fried Halibut Chunks and Prawns are absolutely amazing! We eat out often and have not found a better Halibut or Prawn yet.nThe service was very friendly and we enjoy the unique atmosphere. The atmosphere is like an older style restaurant that reminds me of a speakeasy. Their bar seating area is currently closed due to Covid. They have a full bar and a decent variety of food choices on their menu. They have a great tasting salad and their oyster shooters are quite good. Next time we go, we decided to just order their Bar Prawns with a salad, Halibut Chunks, oyster shooter, and a dessert. We will still order their prime rib as well but those Halibut Chunks and Bar Prawns are hard to beat anywhere in the valley.
The jumbo prawns were recommended to me by a friend. He was correct; the jumbo prawns are delicious! The rib eye steak was cooked exactly right, and the meat was extremely high quality and tender! The price of our meals was a bit spendy, but the restaurant offers more modestly priced selections as well.nnThe atmosphere of the restaurant is rustic and reminiscent of The Old West. The service is prompt, friendly and courteous. We’ll definitely be returning!
Great food, drinks , and service. Only 4 stars because the famous prawns were small for 5.00 each. They were great, but not worth that price.
This place has been updated in years and I LOVE IT! It's a super interesting looking building with equally interesting decor. The food is consistently delicious! Don't change anything :)
Service was great, the prawns were awesome, but I was disappointed in the steak. It was cooked correctly but it had no flavor. You pay 30 bucks for a steak dinner it should taste good! If we go back I'll stay with the prawns for sure.
