I am a student shadowing Dr. Pines and have sat in on numerous patient visits, consultations, and medical care. He proves to be the best line of treatment for certain patients who have routinely moved from doctor to doctor and medication to medication. Many patients admire his direct nature, to-the-point care, and emphasis on reducing medication types whenever possible. This helps many patients with their medication regimen by reducing the load and scheduling complexity that can exist. He incorporates supportive therapy into his sessions in addition to helping coordinate care with patient’s social and community health care workers. He is available on call, video chat, and is generally flexible with his schedule to accommodate patients in emergencies.nnI would recommend trying Dr. Pines out to see if he is the right fit for you, as ultimately, a psychiatrist and therapy sessions’ success are highly predicated on the relationship between patient and provider. And only you, as the patient, can see if this fit is right for you. But if his personality and clinical style is what you are looking for, it would be a great fit.

Dr. Pines is professional and I feel he truly cares about my wellbeing. I’m able to get in the see him quickly if needed. I appreciate his slow and steady approach to treatment. Making medication changes slowly and one at a time has proven helpful and successful in managing symptoms.

Dr Pines is one of the most kind, caring Drs I have had. He is patient, and he ‘listens’ to the patient. Has always gotten back promptly when a message was left. I would not hesitate to highly recommend him.
