Update: the CEO was very helpful and helped me resolve the issue, which was really appreciated.nnI ordered an item from Clark Betty over three weeks ago and it still has not even shipped. They have not even processed my payment.
I purchased a piece of furniture from Clark Betty’s website last night. Today I received an email telling me that they accidentally listed the piece at the wrong price and were not going to fulfill the order at the price that was listed. I spent hours and hours researching furniture before I made this decision, so to say that this was a disappointing experience would be an understatement. I just feel that they should have honored the price listed on their website if someone places an order, has an order confirmation and is under the impression that the next contact they have with the company will be receiving an email with a shipment confirmation. On top of everything, they tried to offer to sell it to me at a price higher than any other online company even though they have a best price guarantee clearly listed at the top of their website. I guess that guarantee is pretty meaningless. To add insult to injury, they changed the price of the item today to a price lower than what they offered to sell it to me for. Come on. Wouldn’t you want to do the opposite to make the whole thing right? That was my first, and needless to say, will be my last experience with this business.
