Well, your experience in the William Penn School District will depend on you and your child. They district do make the very best of their resources and have many wonderful teachers and support staff. Everyone was supportive, caring and nurturing. You can talk to them about your child and they do care. In addition, I had no idea there were so many learning opportunities there! Bring any issues you have to light and they are resolved.nHaving one child with intellectual disabilities and two gifted students, I have an array of experiences.nMy first child had special needs with Downs Syndrome. I thought it would be difficult to convince the district to send him to a school more suitable for his needs. Instead, they were in agreement and sent him to the Davidson school, a wonderful school. The administration and special needs department were supportive and stayed involve through all times. He is now 22 and graduated.nMy second, was mainstream and did well, he loved band and areas of Physics, Robotics Club, Calculus and Chemistry and Spanish. He is in 3rd year as a Mechanical Engineering major at Penn State. His values his experience in the district and returns to encourage younger kids.nMy third, a junior is also in band, and loves all things debate, Speech competitions, HiQ, English, History, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, softball, choir and everything else she can somehow make time for!nMy advice is to make sure your child goes with an attitude to learn and is respectful and responsible. Encourage them and show them lots of love. Encourage the teachers and show them love too, they become part of your family and play a big part. They work hard and give their all. I would highly recommend the William Penn School District!

I enjoy my school. The school lunch is not good (Thanks to Michelle Obama). Honestly the school is what you make it. The only I can complain about is the no book bag rule, bathrooms, and the lockers. Everything else is fine.

Honestly, I attended this school and the only thing I can complain about is the lack of respect the students have for the teachers. The teachers are what makes the school good, as they try their best to teach disruptive and rude students. If your child has a mindset of them ready to learn, let them go to Penn Wood.
