Great place to hike north or south on the trail as well as a large creek for fishing. If you hike north to the western terminus of the mason Dixon trail it’s about 8.5 miles round trip. It’s a nice varied trail with hemlocks, a few road and stream crossings and some really fun large rocks at the end. It’s between easy and moderate mainly for the distance.

Plenty of place and felt safe. Nicely situated in a small town. Good access to a couple shelters for shorter or longer hikes.

Room for about four cars. Large rocks so you can sit to change socks. Direct trail to AT. I can't believe I just reviewed a parking lot...
