This review is only for the children's section. They have a wide variety of books and different sections for different age groups. The children's section is on a lower level of the library and I'm guessing this helps separate potential noise levels from interrupting others. The environment is inviting and they have videos and puzzles, as well. They let us check out a bunch of books. Great experience!
Sorry, but do not understand how anyone can give a poor review to your wonderful library! These people must be over critical. Do not believe them. I think your library is wonderful in all aspects.
Great neighborhood library! Wonderful selection, and what they don't have you can get through interlibrary loan
I work out in the community and whenever I have a break btwn meetings I love to realx/read at a nearby library. This was my 1st time to the New Cumberland Library and I was very disappointed. It was ridiculously noisy. And most of the noise was coming from the staff. I've been to much larger libraries with a lot more people and this library would outdo them every time. Maybe I came at a bad time but I wouldn't expect it to be like that when I arrived shortly after they opened. It was very distracting and it got to the point where I decided to leave and go somewhere else. I definitely won't be going back to this library.
Fond memories of this place, where I nurtured my love of books and reading, where I meet such close friends as the Hardy Boys, the Boxcar Children, and Encyclopedia Brown. The joys of simply wandering around the shelves of books and movies, finding new treasures all the time. This library will always have a special place in my heart forever.
