Yakima Municipal Court

Takes forever to pay and there is always one window open for payment even though there are multiple people in the office. I sent in a ticket asking for a court date (ran a red light, was too close to stop without everything in my car being thrown randomly and didn’t make the three second yellow light) but never got anything back from the court, they sent me a notice that they were going to suspend my license and I had to pay the full ticket plus a $50 fee. I called them to try and explain the situation and that i never received anything from them but the lady who answered was extremely rude from the beginning and blamed me for not checking my mail or having the wrong address. I told her that was impossible but she told me to pay up or I would lose my license and there was nothing that could be done. They should really teach their employees how to be nice and helpful to people because they obviously don’t know how to act in a respectful way and have no manners whatsoever.

Nothing positive about going to a courthouse. I think everyone can agree with that.

Calling and calling and there was never an answer....

I had to take off work early just to get there before they close the window @ 3:30....to stand in line for what seemed like an eternity-Only to be the next one in line when one of the three ladies I'd noticed in the background, doing apparently nothing but waiting to clock out @ 3:30, lifts the blind next to the SINGLE window processing tickets & announces that they're now closed & due to the holiday won't be open until Monday! Which would make my payment late!! They could at least open another window if they aren't even going to take payments over the phone! The clerks windows(where you pay your tickets etc)are already there--Why don't they bother to hire people to work at them?! The most pathetic way of handling things that I've ever seen!!Something needs to be done soon! Or I'm sure I'll be writing a different negative review every time I make a payment on my ticket!

Inconvenience is what they aim to achieve and they do it perfectly. One window open, closed for 2 hours in the middle of the day.
