excellent recent renovation, good selection, like that you can rent DVD's as well.
I went to the Newtown library today hoping to enjoy some quiet time to take an exam. I was very upset and frustrated with the constant chatter of the librarian throughout my two hour visit and the noisy children's play section. There was zero volume control. In fact the librarians assistant was the one creating much of the noise through his loud nonstop unnecessarily long conversations with every patron who stopped by the front desk. Parents were bringing their children in to play with the small kitchenette toy which emitted a constant faux whistle. When did libraries stop being a place where people could come for peace and quiet? Two patrons next to me had to leave due to the noise and one said they were planning to report it to administration. A library shouldn't be a coffee shop or a playground. It should be a place where people can concentrate and get some peace and quiet. Extremely disappointed as a tax paying resident of Newtown Square and never planning on returning. Do not go here if you need quiet!!!
A beautifully renovated library. I took out one star because I wish there's a separation for kid's section.
I love its calm and composed atmosphere both inside and outside. The staffs are always nice and books are amazingly well displayed.
