Colonial Gardens

Colonial Gardens is a hidden gem!nnIn October, we took our children there to get pumpkins. We were so surprised at all the character displays they had all over. Beautifully painted figures and that was just when we walked in. The hayride was full of even more! Some spookier decorations but nothing to scary for our kids during the day. It was a great day for our family!nnLast night we attended the light show. It was another opportunity to see our favorite characters again while enjoying Christmas Light displays. We recieved ornaments, candy canes, and hot cocoa! We picked out a beautiful Christmas Tree with great help from the staff. And to top off another great family night at Colonial, we got to meet Elsa & Anna! They were so nice and absolutely made our 2yr old daughters night. She still keeps telling me about meeting them and giving them hugs!nnColonial Gardens will for sure remain in our families holiday traditions!

Apparently this business wants to follow PA state guidelines only if it goes with their narrative. I have a medical condition that limits my mask wearing. I was told by the employee I had to put my mask on to check out, which I had no problem doing but explained that I was headed back outside to get my cart of pumpkins to checkout. I was already out of breath from lifting pumpkins onto a cart while trying to contain my child. The cart also rolled onto my ankle and I got a huge lump and bruise and I was distraught from the utter disregard from the employee where clearly I needed help. The employee was so cold as I explained I was having shortness of breath and felt as if I could faint with the restriction of the mask. I even said that the PA government order states “Individuals who cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition(including children under 2 years per CDC guidance) may enter the premises and are not required to provide documentation of such medical condition.” I explained this to the employee and I was just trying to get my pumpkins and checkout and leave, to which she said my condition DIDN’T MATTER! They don’t care about what the PA order says and everyone must put on a mask. Well I will never come here again. They act as if they care for your well being when in fact I was shown no respect. I bought my pumpkins here only because it would have been quite a task to go somewhere else after all the work I had done. If you want to be treated like a human, GO ELSEWHERE!!

Its beautifully maintained and there's always something interesting around the corner. The pumpkins are gorgeous this year! The plant selection, all year long, is healthy and stunning. It's a wonderful place to visit and buy extraordinary plants for your garden! And, the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile was there!! AMAZING!!!

It was a wonderful surprise! The displays were professionally done and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely come again.

The family hayride at night time was enjoyable and spooky. Also the 3 mazes were a huge hit with my 5 year olds. Reasonably priced too. We got our pumpkins and had a fun night!
