Just like the While Clay Preserve Parking lot 2,nLot#1 is a free parking area that leads to the Penndel Hiking Trail and the Mason Dixon Historical trail. These trails in this area is an old railroad grade, abandoned in 1929, and heads south to various other connecting trails in the White Clay Creek Preserve in Pennsylvania and the White Clay Creek State Oark in Delaware. They all are around the White Ckay Creek and it's tributaries, and ghe trsils are easy to moderately challenging.

This parking lot is on the PA side of White Clay Creek State Park, making it a no-pay lot. All the lots on the DE side of the park are $4 for DE residents, $8 for non-DE residents.nnThis lot provides access to all of the park trails, although it is a long walk/ride to the southern parts of the park from this parking lot.
