Shoppers Drug Mart

I like this store and this is usually the Shoppers that I go to. This past Saturday I went to pick up a few things. The woman on the till must have still been half asleep when I got there and was having a bit of a hard time putting my items thru the scanner. One bag of chips in particular just wouldn't scan. She practically flattened the whole bag out to read the barcode and make it go thru lol. That put a new meaning to a bag of chips. Then when I got home I realized she forgot my eggs! Hope she drank a few extra cups of coffee on her break lol. I guess it was an off day for her as usually the store is really good. I'll still shop there, as it is a nice clean store and has some great products at competitive prices.

I came in here after a really bad fall on a hike close by. I needed to pick up some bandages and rubbing alcohol to fix myself up. I also just asked out of curiosity if the pharmacy would look after me. Unfortunately they could not (this was not an emergency by the way) because with the pandemic and social distancing issues - making that contact would have been breaking the rules. I was turned away (which I completely understood) and carried on with my supplies. Before checking out the super kind pharmacist asked if I needed a tetanus shot and made sure I had the right medicine. Even though he had no obligation to help me- he did. Anyways the rest of the staff are super nice and I will remember that interaction because COVID-19 has made lots of things like this difficult but people do still care. Whoever is reading this- I hope you have a nice day :)

The staff are friendly however, the entrance to the store is horrible. I can’t stand the mixed scented perfumes when walking in, that in itself deters me from going to this location even though it’s closest to my house. Shoppers also doesn’t price match which seems a little ridiculous as it’s 2019 and everywhere else does and being as they’re connected to the Optimum card that No Frills and Superstore also use, it would make sense for them to accommodate in that way but they don’t. Other then that, their pharmacy is good and so is their Canada post inside too.

Shoppers at Whatcom has always been good to me, know me by name that's rare these days and i appreciate that!

My favorite person here is the postmistress! She is very helpful and friendly - and she remembers faces of PO box holders.
