Seems like a hangout
Awesome scenery of nature. Great place to walk.
There are some fantastic vistas beyond the expected views of the Lehigh Gap. Take your time to enjoy both the white (Appalachian Trail) and blue trails, as both offer different perspectives. As for the rocky ascent: it's not really a typical hike, but it's not mountaineering, either. Take your time, and enjoy your surroundings.
Great hiking trails although it seemed a bit unkempt. I know that litter from degenerates shouldn't reflect poorly on an area but most other places I go can remedy this problem. That said, litter shouldn't dissuade you from this beautiful area.
The Appalachian Trail Access Parking Lot here is perfect for Northbound hikes on the AT starting straight up Lehigh Gap. The lot is fairly large and conveniently located just outside of Palmerton, PA and across the Lehigh River from the Lehigh Gap Nature Center and the Southbound Appalachian Trail.
