Came to SSJT in so much pain. I couldn't walk or stand straight. Doc took the time needed to figure out exactly what exercises I needed to recover. I continued making progress each week. My last session Doc gave me exercises to maintain my new flexibility without pain.
Dr Matejik uses the McKenzie method of PT - That was important for me.nDr Matejik listens, analyzes the cause and starts with gentle exercises continually 'inventing' new gentle exercises to strengthen the necessary muscles.nIn my case, it was my shoulder - I couldn't lift a bottle of milk.nIt took six weeks, improvement each week and Dr Matejik 'cured' me leaving me with easy exercises to keep me in shape.nShe is also very pleasant - Five Stars for Dr Matejik !
Dr. Kathleen was great....she assessed the problem I was having with my back and then systematically figured out what exercises would be most helpful to first eliminate the pain I was experiencing, followed by giving me strengthening exercises to help make sure I don't injure myself again. Highly recommend her.
I am pleased to say that Dr. Kathleen correctly diagnosed what exercises could alleviate my long standing lower back pain. She and I met in person and then successfully continued the therapy sessions using Zoom meetings . She is a compassionate therapist who communicates clearly as she carefully observed my progress. I learned which exercises from the MacKenzie program would help me.nI am so happy to be pain-free. I highly recommend Dr. Kathleen Matejik !
Kathleen was very helpful and professional. I had some foot pain from a car accident and she helped me with very specific exercises to decrease and ultimately eliminate the pain. I went from wearing one pair of sneakers to being able to wear every shoe in my closet very comfortably. Thank you!
