Jenn Perna is amazing! She is a compassionate and brilliant physical therapist. Most people don't realize that pain or disfunction in one area may be related to a completely different issue. Pelvic health is even more complicated. Jenn is able to figure out exactly what the root issue is and restore health and function, avoiding unnecessary surgery or medications. She takes her time, makes you feel completely comfortable, and helps you achieve your goals. Jenn gives 100% of her attention which makes every minute and dollar you spend with her cost effective. I highly recommend Jenn and Vivid Women's Health!

After giving birth to my first baby and getting the typical “6 weeks all clear”, I was having lingering low/mid back pain and just felt overall weak. Being active prior to and during my pregnancy, I was eager to get back to feeling better and stronger. As a PT himself, my husband recommended seeing a pelvic floor PT.nnImmediately, Jenn and I built a strong rapport. She is extremely thorough and quickly diagnosed my diastasis recti and pelvic floor weakness as contributing factors to my back pain. After going through a series of exercises, I was already feeling relief. Having a full hour, one-on-one with Jenn was absolutely necessary and crucial to my recovery. That first day, I was given home exercises and continued support up until our next session.nnAfter working with Jenn, it blows my mind that pelvic floor PT is not an immediate recommendation for all new moms. I can’t say enough good things about Jenn - just go see her and see for yourself!!

I have received PT therapy for instability in my hip/pelvic region and was pleased with not only the time Jenn took with me in our first tele-health session, but the way I was immediately set up online to do therapeutic exercises. Doing an online appointment was effortless (except when she was observing me do some strengthening exercises, lol!). I'd highly recommend Jenn Perna, DPT for physical therapy - women's health or other rehabilitative therapy.

In January of 2020 I fell at work and tore a muscle (either the vastus lateralis or rectus femoris--my right quadriceps muscle) away from my kneecap. After surgerny, I became Jenn's patient at her previous gig. Could barely walk; had a good bit of pain despite painkillers; was hopping everywhere because I hate crutches.nnAfter just two appointments in the clinic where she worked, the place closed due to COVID and I was at loose ends for help rehabbing my leg. This caused me some consternation, which I expressed to Jenn even though she was suddenly out of a job herself.nnJenn immediately assured me that she was going to help me no matter what. I mean, she did not miss a beat--almost overnight she figured out telemedicine and got her new company going. Most importantly to me, she told me in a convincing way that she was going to help me get stronger and I believed her. I want to reiterate that while she was listening to me worry about myself, Jenn was having to figure out her own business and personal life during a once-in-a-hundred-year health crisis where none of us knew what to do.nnWe did not miss a beat in my PT and began having video calls twice a week where Jen walked me through my exercises, slowly building the flexibility and strength in my surgically repaired leg while also insisting that I keep my exercises balanced so that my entire body did not suffer too much during this weird work from home time.nnAt the start, I could not bend my right knee to a 90-degree angle and, as I said, I could not walk--I hopped.nnLast weekend I rode my bicycle for the first time in over a year and I have been out on it every day since. I have zero pain and I can feel my energy level going up and my stress level dropping.nnAll of this is due to Jenn Perna and her commitment to supporting her patients NO MATTER WHAT.nnJenn is an expert in many technical areas of physical therapy. She understands the complete mechanics of the human body and she takes the time to explain why she asks you to do certain movements and to avoid other movements. She watches you do the exercises and gently corrects you when you are not aligned properly. Jenn is a medical professional who never speaks down to the patient. She is also friendly, encouraging and a genuinely nice person.nnI expected technical proficiency from a physical therapist and I absolutely got that when I met Jenn. However, I was completely and extremely lucky to meet someone who not only knows her stuff, but also cares and does what it takes to express that care, even under very trying circumstances when her own life is also being affected by forced change. You cannot pay people to care. Jenn Perna does.nnI have had a remarkable quick and successful recovery during a very difficult time that nobody alive now has had to figure out before. My recovery is all due to Jenn Perna and her unwavering commitment to helping me get better under circumstances when a lot of other people would have just disappeared. I am so grateful that Jenn Perna helped me get better and stronger. Jenn is a treasure, both as a medical professional and as a person and, if you need her help, you will be very lucky to get her support as you get healthier and stronger.
