The Altoona Library is Awesome
i tried seting up a card online and it didnt work so i went in and it didnt take up any of my time really do like the staff there.
This is an Altoona community treasure. It's not just books, but an archive of local history, community meeting rooms, internet access, playground, computer access, programs, recreation, and socialization. More than any other building in metropolitan Altoona, it is the heart and crossroads of the city. And it has plenty of parking and is handicapped accessible. It is super easy to find. If you don't know where it is already, you don't live here. But you're more than welcome to visit!
Really nice place with many different books to choose from. They have really nice employees and everyone loves the ferrets there. The only complaint is the hours. I love to visit after school, but it's hard to sometimes because they close at 5 some days leaving only 2 hours of time. Other than that the place is awesome and it's cool that they even have computers you can be on. They also have a toy area for kids.
Great place to relax and read or study and search local history.. very nice environment!!!
