This place is honestly trash. Avoid it like the plague. Terribly long lines to only be double charged or get a watered down drinks.

I have been going to the Royal forever and have always been treated extremely well. The staff is great great drink specials. Fun place to hangout.

I’ve always had some fairly bad experiences here. On New Year’s Eve I was kicked out of the bar when I confronted the bartender for letting her friend cut the line waiting for drinks. The bartender then charged my card for both my drink, and her friend who I did not know and definitely didn’t approve of. The bartender kicked me out when I told her I didn’t approve of the charge and wouldn’t sign the slip, and tried to take my credit card from me. Poor management and shady workers. Tried contacting the bar multiple times, no way to, and they don’t care.

I see it from outside all the time and it looks like a lovely place to hang out and have fun with friends! They have really cool looking lights that change color all the time. Unfortunately they have a policy where you have to be 21 to enter so 1 Star

I was asked to leave this bar tonight for “looking like I was giving a lap dance” to my boyfriend who is in a wheelchair. To explain a little more in depth, the bar had no place for me to sit where I could even talk to my boyfriend comfortably.nThe main area where they were hosting karaoke tonight has no seats except barstools... barstools are much higher than the average height of a wheelchair. So... in order to even sit down and look my boyfriend in the eye, it was necessary to sit on his lap or bend over. Upon my arrival at the bar, I checked the entire first floor for normal chairs, but all chairs were bar height. Tonight was karaoke night. I sang a couple songs. Danced. Had a good time. I wanted to give my boyfriend a kiss... in order to do so, I had to be on the same level as he was... so I sat on his lap on his wheelchair facing him. Yes, it was intimate... a little bit sexy even... but I wasn’t anywhere near giving him a lap dance. I was completely clothed and he wasn’t pulling any of my clothing off. We kissed briefly... next thing I know the bouncer is asking us to come have a chat with him and the bartender. They asked me to stop “giving lap dances” because other customers might get offended. I asked if anyone specifically said that they were offended. No. I asked if the they themselves were offended. Also no. But regardless, we were asked to leave. I watched other people in that bar tonight kiss their significant other. I watched partners dance and rub up on each other while doing it. I can honestly say that what I did was no where near as provocative. My behavior was indeed mild and innocent, far from seductive or inappropriate. I’m disappointed with the blatant discrimination and clear lack of judgment of the bar’s staff especially since they admitted that no one was actually offended by my actions. Shame on them for their lack of perspective and sensitivity to our unique situation!
