There is no better bakery (Patisserie) in ABQ, and maybe the world! I have officially had about 10 different items from and over 20+ transactions with Blue Door, and I can honestly say that every item is very very good and a few of the pastries even border on the divine! My wife and I lived in South Africa for a year and while there we tried many wonderful pastry places looking for the best almond croissant (SA/ZA is known for its wonderful pastries). We tried many and they were all so much better than anything in the states. And since moving back to the states it’s impossible to find that elusive almond croissant. Enter Blue Door...after consuming more than I should, every one of those croissants have not only rivaled what we’ve had before but maybe is the best almond croissant in the world (We’ve even frequented Tartine in San Francisco, by the famous Chad Robertson, and yes Blue Door rivals them)!! Blue door has a level of consistency that is very hard to find by any local business. This is the list of MUST try items: - Almond Croissant - Creme Brûlée Donut - Rocky Road Cookie - Chocolate Croissant - and so much more!!

Their creme brulee donut and green chile boule were brought to me by a friend when I was having a hard day and OMG worth every carb there is. I went back to get myself a treat and tried their green chile jam donut and again I was beyond impressed. Their menu doesn't seem to be consistent, as all items aren't available daily, and they don't have a written menu or schedule I can find. Also, when I recently tried to get the green chile boule again, the staff said that they are switching to a different seasonal menu and it won't be available anymore. SUCH A SHAME!!! It's beyond delicious and should be considered always "seasonal". We're in New Mexixo, afterall!
