These people steal money, treat tenants like garbage, have zero professionalism and breaks laws all the time. HUD is currently investigating this Housing Authority because it has a history of money laundering, lies and criminal activity. Reading deserves better.
The most trashiest housing system in all of Pennsylvania. Outdated buildings, sky high rent, unprofessional management. It would be smart to hire a Czar for the city of Reading, eliminate the slumlords and people picking up checks at The Housing Authority, and bring in brand new people. This city cannot be blamed on the residents. It is clearly its corrupt government that are at pure fault. The Reading Housing Authority does not fix crumbling patios, does not turn on the heat until deep into winter. The security is minute and the attention to the importance of the quality of life is at a 3%. One of the worst in our nation. HUD needs to clean house there.
