Held my kids gender reveal party here last year. Fun times (kids love splish splashing away) but the tire got the gender wrong and I had to repaint the nursey and return some clothes. But besides that it was a good time. The wife and I are having another gender reveal party here next month - this time hopefully the tire gets it right! :)

Many happy memories at this wonderful little pond. Took my now wife here on our magical 1st date. The grandkids love playing with the fish with tasty delights to be found at the nearyby Exxon. Only 4 stars out of 5 five due to the car tire being underwater after heavy rains. Grandkids love the tire!

Many wonderful childhood memories made at Stabon Pond including my first kiss. I'll never forget that night. Me and my 7th grade crush Susie sitting on the tire while Whitesnake played on my boombox. Wild and innocent - not a care in the world. What I wouldn't do to go back to that moment - even for just a minute. There was magic in the pond that night.nnThe following spring I was drafted and sent to the Pacific. I was stationed in the Phillipines and wrote to Susie everyday. We planned to marry as soon as the war was over. Three years passed and we finally beat the Asian Germans. I caught the first flight home and arrived at Stabon Pond still in my uniform only to find no one waiting for me. Just the the tire alone.nnPart of me died that day. What followed was dark days. Now when I drive by and see the tire I wonder what could have been. if you're reading this Susie I never stopped loving you. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If you ever want to meet I'm at the tire everyday at noon. Waiting. wishing. Loving.
