What is so wonderful about Whitman is that they would never do anything to inhibit the free exchange of ideas. You might think that a college, being consumed with intellectual vanity, would adopt an ostrich-like policy of suppressing negative reviews. Not Whitman!
My Whitman degree prepared me for graduate work at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a rewarding career in the civil service. Whitman has very high academic standards and students cooperate to graduate. Access to professors is superb and the student body is bright and hard working. Most students play intramural sports and take advantage of the Outing Program which sponsors outdoor events all over the Pacific Northwest. If you’re looking for an academic challenge with top-notch graduate prospects and a tight-knit and friendly student body, Whitman should be on your short list.
A very liberal ideal that forgets science sometimes in drawing conclusion.
Whitman is a fantastic liberal arts school with the best professors, small class sizes, a beautiful campus and buildings, and it's in a gorgeous area. As a bonus, Whitman sends many students to top graduate programs in the world in many different fields! My time at Whitman was highlighted by my close relationships with my professors, chances to do scientific research on campus, and the many excellent friendships and connections I made during my time there. I can't recommend Whitman enough as a college to both learn about the world and yourself.nnDo yourself a favor and seriously consider Whitman as an option for college.
