Beautiful place and wonderful pianos. However, my experience with the employee was very poor. I came into the store while there was 1 other customer and my boyfriend started to play a Boston Piano just to hear how it sounded. We are both 17 but we are interested in pianos. The employee came over and asked him to stop playing because he had customers. We stopped and went to a few other pianos. Awhile later a couple came in and he greeted them very nicely while they began to play on the piano. So my boyfriend started to play the piano again because they were doing it too. The employee came over once again and said “I need you to stop playing I have customers”. My boyfriend said “Well aren’t I a customer?” and the employee said that he had many other things to do with the other customers even though they came in after us. Overall, the employee never welcomed us and treated us poorly. They just lost many future sales from us.

I recently purchased a Boston grand piano from Fort Pitt Piano Co. It was an absolutely delightful experience working with Buddy and Joe to pick out my perfect instrument. Their selection of pianos is second-to-none in this area. You can't go wrong with their inventory of Steinway, Boston, and Essex pianos. Picking out a piano is a personal experience, and the fit has to be just right. Shopping at Fort Pitt Piano Co was a low-pressure sales experience. Buddy listened to exactly what I wanted in a piano, and he helped me find it. If you are looking for a piano, stop in and play some of their instruments. You will not be disappointed!

I highly recommend Fort Pitt Piano! After many weeks of shopping, Buddy Rieger at Fort Pitt Piano along with Joe, helped me understand all the little details of purchasing a baby grand piano. I never felt pressured. Buddy was always there to answer all my questions. He took time to explain in great detail so no stones were left unturned. My beautiful Essex baby grand piano was delivered a couple weeks ago and I've already enjoyed hours upon hours of playing! Thank you Buddy (and Joe) for all your patience in helping me with this purchase.nnAnyone considering buying a new/used piano... Fort Pitt Piano is the place to go!!!

5 star experience at Fort Pitt. As a piano teacher they treat me very well and I now do consulting by recommending my students and families to Steinway and Steinway designed pianos.nnFort Pitt also carries the full Roland digital piano line that integrates with iPad and has Bluetooth midi and audio.nnBeautiful showroom, happy that Steinway is back in Pittsburgh and represented by a fantastic company.
