As a non-Jew, I have always been welcomed at their Shabbat services and dinners. It is a wonderful place to connect with the Jewish community.

From my experience as a student at this Hillel for the last 3 years, I have continuously seen an emphasis on accepting all Jews, however they may identify-- Reform, Conservative, Recinstructionist, Orthodox, Traditional, Cultural, Just Jewish, etc. In fact, at every Shabbat there is a choice of service preference. I am saddened to see the other reviews, as I cannot speak highly enough of my experience here.

The rabbis overseeing Hillel are usually orthodox. Pittsburgh's orthodox leadership has a long established reputation as being anti reform bigots. Their leadership can be seen at Hillel. The students seem to cash in on the bullying of reform jews. The reform students of this mid-western town could learn to be more vocal and not get pushed around. I wish the leadership of Pitt's reform community could see for themselves how Hillel leadership misbehaves.

Agree w statement of Reform students being crapped on by both Cons & Orth students. Go to a local temple like Rodef Shal on 5th and avoid that unneeded abuse and bigotry.
