Quiet, no one around. Nice for a peaceful walk. Pretty campus.
Studied here during my freshmen year in 2011. Although it is a small campus compared to the other satellite campuses, I absolutely love and cherish my time being there. The people are kind, campus is well equipped for it's size, close proximity to Pittsburgh and the quaint town of White Oak made me feel like home despite being hundreds of miles away from home. The cafeteria has a great variety of food which have healthy options. There are daily specials which I always looked forward to. Cost of living is also relatively low compared to city living or even compared to UP. My only complaint about this place is the lack of public transport which makes going to places hard if you don't own a car. For those of you still considering whether or not to choose this campus, I would say give it a second look before deciding, the small classes gives you more 1 to 1 attention from the professors which can really help in your grades. The large classes in UP can make you feel drowned out with the lack of attention and tonnes of distractions being around.
