New Kensington Mayor's Office

I have been a resident of Tarentum and Brackenridge till the age of 20. During the past 44 years I have maintained a very close relationship with the Allegheny Valley to include patronizing New Kensington and the surrounding areas. Always impressed with the people and leaders of these communities and deeply touched by their support of veterans, like myself. However, I am disillusioned by the unfortunate plan to allow Hollywood to film a movie there starring Cate Blanchette. In a recent appearance on the Tonite Show she insulted our country and molded a penis out of chewing gum which she said depicted our country. I find this type of hate speech offensive and will do my best to bring it to the attention of the Valley Daily News/Pittsburgh Press. I served with members of the Australian Air Force and I can tell you they are an honorable group of caring mates, and I think even they would be offended. People like this should be treated the way they trash talk another country - the same as if you went to their country and said derogatory things. I can't help her problem with President Trump but she just can't group the whole country into a basket and label everyone of us as gutless wimps. I appeal to you to screen these entities better when they want to conduct business in an area that is proud with veterans and supporters from legacies of countless wars/conflicts.
