I have found the code enforcement office to be helpful and courteous. It takes a long time for code violations to work their way through the court system -- that is not their fault.
They will not do anything about my neighbor's trash that is piled up in a old swimming pool in their back yard that has been that way for at least 5 years more now and it is causing rodents etc to have a place to breed and hide.And because the neighbor knows someone in the Penn hills borough at the top level that permits them to get away with this. Instead the borough now wants to try and blame and possibly fine the other residents on the street for providing a food sources for the rodents. And one of my neighbors have been getting rodents in his house that chewed the wires inside his car. And the the Penn hills boro seems to be okay with this. But if it was any other resident they would be in big trouble.
Very courteous, professional and very helpful.
My next door neighbors have had a dead car in my driveway for the past 3 years, and it’s taken several phone calls over the past year or so and code enforcement has done nothing.
