I work at Duquesne and am also a student. It's a wonderful place where everyone has an equal opportunity in succeeding.

Dropped our daughter off at Duquesne University. Beautiful campus. Everyone was very helpful with unpacking the car, and bringing all the stuff up to the room.

We just came from Ohio to skate and found some cool places to skate and different things to see.

Don’t give a dime to this school. They’re unprofessional, unkind, lack logical thought processing, and are way too expensive for what they offer. The nursing program is subpar, the professors are rude and uneducated, and once again their thought processes are illogical. They handle the Covid-19 Pandemic without grace, professionalism, or concern to their students. For example, they don’t require tests or contact tracing to return to campus! They closed campus in March of 2020 when there wasn’t a single case of Covid-19 confirmed in Pittsburgh, but they are reopening it when the cases are astronomically high. They also require all students for the Fall of 2020 to be located “within the Pittsburgh region” even if all their classes are online! This clearly makes it difficult for the people in all 50 states (which they boast proudly on) to accommodate to their rules safely. Not only was this requirement made just 12 days before classes resume, it was made without thinking of the mental health or safety of their students. Travel costs, safe housing, or social distancing are not things they consider whatsoever. Not to mention, they apparently believe that you cannot catch the corona virus during the day because visitation hours are not permitted during nighttime. They are, however, permitted during the day. I cannot think of one good thing this university has done for me.
