I am a proud 1996 Graduate of Duquesne Law. No matter where I went in my career, Duquesne Law alumni, and my professors, always made me feel that there was a home in the Pittsburgh legal community that kept me grounded, supported and helped me to thrive in my career. I am now blessed with the opportunity to serve on the alumni board and to serve as the director of diversity.

I had a great experience at the law school. They have provided me with the skills I need to succeed in the legal field.

I am a 2009 graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law. It is a great institution for a legal education. Students learn from high quality faculty members and receive the support of various staff members and programs focused on providing a well-rounded experience. Too, because of Duquesne's location in Downtown Pittsburgh, students have access to both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, hundreds of law firms, and dozens of companies for externships, clerkships and other practical experiences.

I attended 1996 to 2000 and loved it. I cannot comment on what it is like now. I felt the professors did an excellent job of preparing me to go right into the courtroom and act competently even when up against much more experienced attorneys. I especially gained so much experience from Professor Streib's Trial Advocacy course. I worked full time during law school and attended the night version so did not participate in his moot court, which I regretted. I also had the joy of having the late Dr. Murray for contracts. I moved to Florida on an Army assignment shortly after graduating and have practiced as a State of Florida attorney since 2002, after passing Florida Bar in 2001, while on Army active duty in Miami. My first trial in 2002 was a very difficult child abuse case that included graphic, wrenching child testimony. The Judge on the case, the Honorable Renee Roach, 9th Circuit, Orange County, Florida, known as a very demanding Judge, complimented me at the end of the trial, which I won for the State. That meant a lot to me and I could only have done it with the Duquesne Law School training and skills that were imparted to me. I have never regretted choosing Duquesne Law School. I also really enjoyed my four years living in Pittsburgh in the South Hills as well as my Army Reserve duty there.
