Pleasant Hills Public Library

Very helpful with getting me a new card. Appointments are still needed but they are not hard to get. This was my first time so hopefully I can update this review in a few weeks

I enjoy this library, they have a variety of activities any age can join

I can’t say enough about this library and its amazingly friendly and helpful staff! This is not the newest or most tidy place, but it is well-loved and well-used by the community. It reminds me of my home growing up—what my mother terms “organized chaos.” There’s a lot of material in this small place, but it feels large with its high shelves. You can disappear around a corner and lose yourself in a book between the stacks. There are several study/reading areas throughout the library. The downstairs is dedicated to young readers from infants through pre-teens. There’s a large play area for toddlers down there as well. A local artist brightened up the walls with some colorful paintings a few years ago, and they are delightful.nnThe best part about this place though is the people who run it. The librarians here are amazing! They’ll help you find whatever you need, and if it’s not at Pleasant Hills, they’ll help you get it from another library. They always enjoy conversation and have taken an interest in our family, always asking about my wife and kids. I appreciate this small-town approach. We’ve been coming to this library for 12 years now, so we’re practically family.

It's a great small library. The basement is all children's books and has great books for holding reading sessions, studying, or teaching classes. Staff is very friendly as well.

I love the library and the employees are very welcoming I just don’t think the have a very wide selection of children/tween books.
