Tumwater High School

An amazing school that my son attends after going to the North Thurston School District. What a difference like night and day. Teachers are absolutely wonderful, the bullying want even an issue after 3 years of it at North Thurston and the counseling and attendance staff are outstanding. Props to be a T-Bird parent.

People who give school a bad rating obviously didn't even try to see the good in the school. I too had an IEP and graduated with a 3.9 GPA and also if you really read Google reviews in the first place and don't send your child to a school because of a bad review obviously don't understand that yes this school has some bullies and what school doesn't? And this school does have some teachers that don't care for their students and name a school that has every teacher a caring for each and every student I'll wait! And also yes the school lunch isn't as good as a five star restaurant but name a school that has five star food. And foremost you need to try to see the good in a place before you judge it! I've been bullied and told to just drop out but I didn't because I strive to make the best of each situation. Also if you have a negative personality you obviously won't see the potentials of the gold you can accomplish.

I can't believe what I am reading. I went here. It was a horrible school that uses horrible generalizations to fill its IEP program with normal kids. I now attend a university with a 3.65. This school labeled me as having a learning disability. There was never anything wrong with me.nI had to work hard labor and pay for a basic education. An education this school should have given me. Instead they gave me a diploma just for showing up. I was practically illiterate at the time of graduation.The kids in my class are all hopeless.nI should have dropped out and got my GED, then went to SPSCC, and lastly transfer to a university. I had to take all the same classes anyway.nWhen I called and told them my GPA they were silent and gave no response. I was put in special ed or what they call yep. the administration did not challenge us. I graduated with a 6th grade math level and could barely read or write. At age 25 I went to the local community college and took math classes, I aced all but one. At age 27 I began going to a university and learned writing skill. Now I have a 3.65 GPA and two years left in my bachelors degree, on this track I will graduate in the top 25%, and move on to a masters degree. Tumwater sent me on my way with a meaningless High School diploma, this was irresponsible, and they should be ashamed of their actions. They have a good record through out the state, but they hide people like me in classes away from threatening their record. They should be held accountable.nTo those of you to claim to go here, what college do you go to? Do you have proof? I do!
