I'm returning to Pittsburgh after many years away, and was seriously thinking about renting at the Camelot apartments again. I lived there from 1990 through 1992 and had a VERY positive experience. It's good to see that it hasn't changed in the last 30 years.nnIt was slightly more expensive back then than other places in the area, but was well worth the cost. I found that it was mostly occupied by serious undergrad and graduate students like myself.

I currently live there (as of writing this review), and I love it! The apartments are in great shape, and if I ever have a non-urgent maintenance request, it is almost always addressed within 24 hours. The people who run this place truly care about the residents. It’s going to be more expensive than an apartment/shared house in South O, but what you get here definitely justifies the cost. Great place to live for Pitt students who have class in upper campus!

Honestly kind of disappointed that I rented/lived here. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the 'policies' that they enforce aren't fair and I would've been able to get a better experience (& paid less) elsewhere. We had to pay for the entire month of August when we were only able to live there for half of it. (no prorate) And I have to pay for parking for multiple months when I am no longer parking there. Overall not bad, just frustrating!

The Camelot Apartments are spacious, comfortable, and clean. In comparison to other places I have looked to live as a college student, none compare. The landlord and maintenance personnel have always been incredibly helpful and hospitable. Utilities are very affordable (I've personally paid no more than $30 per month). There is laundry on every floor as well as access to a garbage shoot! Living on N. Dithridge has been great because there are always college students around, yet it isn't at all noisy. Living in the building itself is also great because the neighbors are respectful and so it's easy to study in peace. There is also a nice big study lounge on the first floor that I have used, especially in the winter, when I didn't want to trek all the way to the library during a blizzard. I can't think of anything else I could ask for in an apartment and I have been so happy living here!
