If you're looking for somewhere to get real ID and you don't drive save yourself a lot of time and go to Smithfield Street. I found the place in East Liberty very confusing I still don't understand why they couldn't take care of me because the website said they offered the services I needed.. But the least I can do is save you guys the hassle and an afternoon. Three stars instead of two because I really do believe that the folks that were working did their best for me. They were just very tired, stressed out, like we all are.
Not a full dmv, only does photo (can’t do out of state driver license changes, which is contrary to some internet information and staff was a little salty about it). Requires sign in at AAA. Free parking with a little token they give glh. // you can do car title changes/registration through the AAA portion for a fee but you have to have your PA driver license FIRST (which requires you to go to a Penn DOT “DLC” closest one is downtown). To get a true penn DOT car title change you have to go Harrisburg (lol), so obviously easier to just pay the up charge with AAA.
Contrary to some of the negative reviews, my visit to Motor Square Garden AAA in East Liberty for a new driver license photo ID was very positive!!! The receptionist was very professional and efficient. The gentleman in photo center could not have been more pleasant and helpful. He kept things going quickly and efficiently. The whole process went much faster than anticipated. I would highly recommend this location!
