Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Homewood

Gorgeous building with nice old architecture too gawk at. Inside the library is divided into 3 spaces. The one I spent the most time I was the kids selection which had a selections of puzzles out that I think rivaled the squirrel hill library.nnIn addition to the puppets, legos, marble game (to name a few) there were ipads with games loaded on to them for younger kids.nnThe staff was all very friendly and all three little ones I was with got Christmas presents from Santa's little helper, the librarian. They were a selection of age appropriate books on kindness caring and a comic type chapter book for the oldest. So very surprised by that and really happy we finally stopped in.

Great facility. The basement auditorium is great for these types of public meetings. It is wired for sound, has a stage, and a audio control booth. Of course the library is one of the things that makes Pittsburgh great. Never need to buy a book again.

Part of the wonderful Carnegie Library system of Pittsburgh. This Library is a jewel, reminds me of a library when I was very young. A great place for you to take little kids, just the right atmosphere.

come find great information. They have great books for, music and tapes. The computers, other rooms with special speakers for adults and children.
