My experience with Shehady's was excellent from beginning to end. I had two rugs that were passed on to me by my parents that needed to be cleaned. Mr. Shehady aka Wade took the time to tell me the history behind the rugs, and the different regions and era in which they were made, the likely value of each, and therefore how much I should or shouldn't be investing to maintain them. The price was extremely reasonable and everyone one I met there, from his family to his staff, were nice, helpful, enjoyable to work with and I would be extremely happy to refer Shehady's to anyone. If you enjoy old school customer service and attention then you will have a great experience as well.
I was given a tired, hole-filled Persian rug that had been living in my parents' attic for decades. Wade immediately identified it as one made by the Qashqai people in Iran, told me how he could restore it, and even loaned me a book about them so I could learn the history of its design. He also figured out how to restore a moth-eaten Dura rug from India, and he was open and honest in telling me that the repairs to the second rug would exceed its value so I could make an informed decision. It had sentimental value, so I chose to proceed. Less than a month later, both rugs were gorgeous--he saved them from death's door, and they're now worthy of being proudly displayed as centerpieces in my house. If you're looking for high-quality work at a fair price, this is the place to go.
I love Wade and his staff. They hand washed my rugs and mended the fringe so they all look like new. His service is courteous and prompt. And He is very knowledgeable about a rugs origin and value. I would highly recommend Shehady rugs.
I have a family heirloom rug which was in dire need of repair. And I mean a large rip in the center of the rug. Wade Shehady repaired it beautifully! He was always in contact with me during the process and even gave me the history & origin of the rug! I am THRILLED with their service and the quality of the workmanship.
Wade is the BEST! I spilled coffee all over a needlepoint rug!! It took me 4 years to make it and it looked awful. I took it to Shehady’s and Wade worked miracles!!! It looks fantastic!!! He “saved” my rug!!! I would recommend him to anyone!!! Thank you Wade!!!
