A large, American-style take on neoclassical Protestant architecture. The lines are clean, the walls are white, but the sense of the place is much more congregational than sacrificial. One senses that the space would be capable of so much more if its underlying theology were more robust and some of its interior arrangements were geared more towards sacred liturgy rather than the people. Still, this is a beautiful spot, and I am happy to have stumbled upon it. Do stop by if you should be in Gettysburg and have time for a walk to the north of town.
