Had a nice time searching their showcases. Nice place - friendly staff! Too bad I couldn't find anything - but it's not their fault. I'm just too fussy on price.
This was the first time since I moved West from New England That I felt that I was in a real antique store. You know, stuff that is at least 100 years old, the legal definition of an antique. Of course not everything was that old but I did not see any of the junk that characterizes most CA antique stores. This got me pining for the 1853 house I had in NH. I did not bring anything home but only for lack of space. In particular there was a beautiful tall hand made dresser (check the dovetails to see if it is hand made) for $2,200 that I would have bought in a jiffy if I had a place to put it.
Great inventory and very nice staff.
