I was discharged from the hospital 21 days ago after a heart attack. I called my PCP and he sent prescriptions for the three medications, that I had been placed on when I was discharged from the hospital, to City Market Pharmacy. I would have had the prescriptions sent to Humana, my mail in pharmacy, if I knew that I would be on them forever. After receiving a text that it was too early for one of them, I was sure I’d get a text about the other heart med, so I waited until around 4:30 to call. This was on Sunday. I was told that the prescription would be in the next day. I said something like “Oh, you’re you’re out”. Now I worked at Professional Pharmacy for five years way before I became a nurse, so I do understand running out of a drug, but we always got a replenishment order the next day or the day after that. The pharmacist told me that “maintenance” prescriptions were sent to.an offsite pharmacy to be filled. I told him that I was down to my last pill on two of them. I had no real assurance that this heart medication would actually be there on time. Later I realized that my new prescription for Lipitor had not even been addressed. I took my last pill for that prescription last night as well. I use the mobile app, and that drug was not even listed as being received. The doctors office told me that it was called in at the same time as the two heart meds. I called the pharmacy and asked them about it. They said it wasn’t refillable for eight more days. I explained that the first prescription was only a 21 day supply. He said ok he’d get it filled and it would be ready tomorrow. I said I needed it today. He then, with what I would call an over extended clipped voiced replied that he’d get it, but it wouldn’t until late afternoon or evening. Now remember that all three of these prescriptions have been called in last Tuesday. That would have given them six days to take care of these medications. So instead I find that one was sent to an offsite pharmacy because it was a maintenance drug, and the other one was put on the shelf because they thought it was too early. when in their computer, ishould have shown that the Lipitor was only a 21 day supply on the first prescription.nI feel that if a prescription is called in to city market pharmacy that it should be filled there and not sent to an offsite pharmacy just because the pharmacy at City Market, in their wisdom, deem a prescription to be a maintenance drug. They have no idea what I had just gone through, they have no idea what I’m getting ready to go through, and they have no idea if this wasvgoing to be just a brief trial drug, or if after my heart cath in two days I would continue those medications or be placed on a new drug. If I thought it would be a drug that I would be on regularly I would have had the doctors office call the prescriptions in to Humana. I am not very pleased with this situation. If I have a prescription called in city market pharmacy it should be filled there.nThe next complaint is the attitude that I get every time I called City Market to check on the status of a drug, because I have to arrange for someone to pick it up. I haven’t driven since before my rotator cuff surgery, so I’m pretty much at the mercy of whoever I can get to go get the prescription. That’s another situation where they have no idea about what goes on in a patient’s attempt to get the prescription I call that a customer service attitude problem, and unfortunately it’s the attitude problem of too many businesses today.

I’M NEVER GOING BACK!!! I can’t give it less than one star. First time heart med called in by my Dr. on Friday had to be ordered and wouldn’t be ready until after 1pm on Monday. On Monday was told “It didn’t come in, should be ready after 1pm Tuesday. If you really need it today, we have it in stock and can have it ready in two or three hours”. Say what??? Went in on Tuesday after 1pm and was told it hadn’t come in but should be there sometime tonight.

Would be ZERO if possible. Prescribed steroids for pain after surgery. Was supposed to have famotidine for stomach. Was NOT given this until 4 days later. Meanwhile stomach was in terrible shape from steroids. But wait. Theres more. Called a prescription in on a Wednesday. STILL NOT READY ON MONDAY! Turns out they send all prescriptions to DENVER Ato fill. Will now look at my rx insurance to see where else I can go. ZERO.

Worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I left as.soon as hospital pharmacy opened. They can't answer the phone., notify you when prescription is ready or get it ready within 2days. I won't go into how fantastic the hospital pharmacy is because I don't want them to become overloaded.
