I started with this company in March of 2018. I felt it was an awesome opportunity and job because I got the chance to work around locomotives on a regular basis. I kept as safe as possible with little to no incidents or causation. I worked overtime from the day I started to the day I was terminated for a non incident that did not end in a event or hazmat spill. Without ever having been written up or disciplined for any other circumstance, this was used to end my employment with LSI.nnOther than the personal bias used to terminate my employment without any warning and suddenly, I actually loved this job. I NEVER missed a day and was always on time for the most part, and stayed reliable the entire duration of my employment term. Aside from any personal bias I met with, which I ignored to the best of my knowledge not to hinder my employment term, I remained focused in order to insure the customer remained satisfied with my performance on the job.nnI can honestly say I will miss the job and fueling the locomotive engines, but at this point I feel that the unnecessary stressed caused by fellow employees at times was totally uncalled for. I loved the work I did and the job along with the money I was making per hour. Even though nearly everyone else complained constantly about the seemingly “low wages”, which I totally disagreed with, but feel they could’ve gave better increases over $.15 every 6 months. It’s an awesome place to work with a relaxed atmosphere if you don’t get sucked into the useless drama. It’s not bad, it’s not hard to do, just make sure to meet the expectations of the rail company in charge and work safely and USE YOUR RADIO. The best job I’ve ever had.nnBut things and people change over time, and some cause unnecessary stress over and over again complaining constantly, which makes the experience not so enjoyable when it snowballs and hits the bottom. But it’s definitely tolerable to hold your own integrity and keep your peace as much as possible and only speak when spoken to. Stay humble.

I started with LSI as a fuel tech and have been given the opportunity to grow with the company. I’m currently a regional manager and I get to work with our teams in locations around the US as well as working closely with the leadership team. Our employees are self-starters and well trained. We’re a family and we all look out for one another. Since we have crews in a variety of locations, our management team encourages every employee to let us know when they see we could be doing something better. Even as a fuel tech, I knew I could contact anyone in management if I had an issue or needed help. If you’re a trucker and you’re looking for a job with more home time, good benefits and a steady paycheck, LSI is a great place for you.
