I went on a trip back in 2016 and I had an amazing time. All the cities we explored were amazing. The food they provided was okay, but I recommend trying out the different foods in the places you visit. The company is very clear from the start about non-refundable policies.
My daughter and I are also out 3800 for this trip. They canceled. We did not. And it is no one's fault. But, I am sure they will be refunded most of the money they had spent on travel preparation eventually. We should be also! We spent 4400, and are only getting 600 back because of their cancellation policy. Which goes into effect if we cancel. Only THEY canceled
Terrible company that has stolen money from countless young adults, myself included. Don't schedule a trip with this company, unless you'd like them to breach their own contract during a global epidemic, and completely shut off communication with everyone involved.
Voyageurs International Ltd is hard-working American family business that is fully invested in the success of your students once in a lifetime opportunity trip. They are the most extraordinary trip concierge group. I’m going to tell you why.nI was an employee years ago. I will start with this. I have never known another business or family who is more conscientious, kind, uplifting, transparent, generous, honest-to-the-dollar and fiscally responsible. They are the finest example of a successful American family run business you will find anywhere. These trips have been carefully crafted over the course of 50 years to exemplify a complete European trip to include life’s astonishing worldly achievements in architecture, landscape, education, art & history to name a few. Packing the experience is the goal, students remain busy and engaged. If your child was chosen it was because their musical talents and hard work complete the band ensemble for the performances, that are welcomed in these countries every year. It is an honor to be chosen! If your students college education costs $150,000 at the end of four years, this trip will likely be as memorable than their academic learning.nnI see some think they are not transparent about where every dollar of your deposit money went? So you think this is trip to Disneyland? How much time do you have because it is extremely complex.nnLet me give you a crayon outline that is filled with a sundry of moving parts that change all the time. It starts with the band leaders and staff, meetings and applications. Publications that are often changed along with the lives of those who change. The detailed changes begin as your students lives are rearranged during the year. There are airline tickets, multiple hotels, busses, restaurants, performance halls, theatre and museum venues, tour guides, and various other transportation needs. All while insuring you’re child’s changing needs are met along with exemptions and exclusions and things that go awry. It is a stressful year-long preparation process that begins the summer before. They constantly field phone calls about your families problems, your financial problems your health problems, diet restrictions, personalities, medications and every little detail during the year that changes and affects you and your child’s life as it pertains to the safety of a successful trip. Then there is the hard working chaperones who herd busloads of kids all day long, being watchful that they enjoy, eat, think, sleep & practice their adult skill set occasionally.nnI’m sorry your children missed this extraordinary opportunity, life is unfair. I know how much this hurts. We are all hurting in many ways. Yet, at the same time you are relieved because the tour was cancelled because you love your children. You are so blessed this didn’t happen a few short months later. So don’t confuse your anger over the loss of $1900, by damaging a 50 year reputation of a hard working family who I promise you isn’t living in some fantasy world of a golden goose. This is hard and stressful work that is about taking care thousands of people and hundreds of businesses. If you could only know the positive testimony’s that has accumulated all these years. The lives changed because of the experience, the careers paths chosen, the inspiration, growth and maturity in young adults, all because of one families love & tenaciously determined integrity. Well, you would be embarrassed & also, buried in goodness. Which is why they do it.nnBecause they literally change the world by building another one into your child’s life.
Just like the many others, they took $5,700 from myself and Family when THEY CANCELLED the 2020 Trip. Can't believe they will remain in business since their reviews are terrible and I'll personally attend all the local meetings here to make sure everyone knows the significant monetary risk you take with these folks. Most of their clients are kids and Families fighting financially through this pandemic. What a time to withhold $1,900/person because you were unable to execute what you agreed to. So many Families need that money during this crisis. I hope they change their position and do the right thing. It's best for all of us and it will benefit their business as well.
