Why, in the middle of a pandemic, would you raise rent amounts for low income families? How in the world does that make sense?
They will not respond to calls or emails about your lease. They will not send someone to help with bed bugs or broken heaters, even if you hound them, and even if it's the middle of winter. They will, however, send a random construction worker to your apartment without any notice, and he will threaten you with eviction if you don't let him take out your windows and frames.
I have tried in vain to advocate for a disabled woman receiving section 8 help. My purpose has simply been to help alleviate her fears in her interaction with the employees of the section 8 program. These people continue to berate her in every verbal interaction she has with them. There seems to be no recourse for this. Personally, I don't see any point to kicking disabled people when they're already down
