The Littleton Inspectors have completely lost track of why the community needs them. As a longtime HVAC technician, I know a thing or two about how to install a furnace.. but these inspectors will fail you for things that absolutely do not help the safety or functionality of an installation.
I'm a homeowner doing a home project. I called with questions prior to starting the job. The inspector was able to visit job in a very timely fashion. He was neighborly, extremely helpful and knowledgebase, gave unhurried responses. the inspector made it very clear to call if I have another question.
2 things are very wrong with Littleton building dept first they want evaluation of complete job costs for tax revenue even though cabinets are already taxed to delivery address and so are appliances and other materials, which is very illegal to double tax.nSecond I am a general contractor however on this certain job we are doing we only need a permit for electical and plumbing however my sub electrician and plumber can't get permits because they say I need to pull my GC permit which is just BULL because all I'm doing is cabinet install and 30 lnft of trim and a hardwood floor patch 80 sqft which none of these items need a permit. What's next Painting permit, or a mowing permit.nPlease fix your issues
