Safeway Pharmacy

Surprised to read negative reviews - I've always had a great experience at this Safeway Pharmacy. Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service - prescription ready on time, no waiting. I especially appreciated the drive-up flu vaccine clinic. Convenient, fast, easy - didn't even have to leave my car! I hope it becomes an annual event.

So I just had surgery on my knee yesterday, and my prescription wasn't available for pick-up yesterday when my friend went to pick it up 4 hours after the order was called in. He had to go back to work so we tried picking it up before they closed. Despite the site saying they close at 9, they were closed at 8...nnI am here the following day still not having recieved any medication. I understand there was some confusion as the doctor changed the pain medication to something stronger, and cancelled the first prescription to replace it with something stronger. The pharmacy told me they got the cancelation, but not the new prescription order. 15 minutes later I was able to confirm with the doctors office that they sent both faxed over the new prescription order with the cancelation.nnI should have had my pain meds yesterday, but instead I had to drive to the pharmacy, and sit on an uncomfortable scooter in the middle of the store for an hour instead of resting and icing my knee the day after surgery.nnThis just describes the objective issues I've had with the pharmacy, and doesn't even describe how rude the pharmacist was.nnSave yourself the hassle and get your prescription from elsewhere especially if it is time sensitive.nnIf anyone from Safeway reads this this is an embarrassment to your entire company, and I will no longer be coming here for any future prescriptions, or even shopping at the store. I don't want to support a company that has such clear disregard to customer service, and has put me through so much physical pain.

Prescription was called in around 9 am. Went to pick up at 1:15pm and they told me it would 30-45 minutes.nnWent back at 8:30 that night to pickup the script after work (pharmacy said it closed at 9) and they closed at 8.nnDisappointed to say the least and now my friend has to go the first night after his surgery without pain meds.nnNo customer focus, get your scripts somewhere else unless you like wasting your time waiting for them to get it together.

They can never get my two prescriptions auto filled at the same time. Every month I have to call in the second and by the time they have it filled, they have reshelved the first one. Was told to wait 15 min today to fill the first script again. 45 min later I went home to research new pharmacies. An hour later I got notice the script was filled. Found an independent neighborhood pharmacy is actually cheaper. I’ll be transferring my scripts there.

I would give zero stars if I could.nnMy pediatrician called in an Rx for my baby yesterday at 4 pm. I go today at 12:30 pm to pick up and they say, “we need 30 minutes.” I can’t wait, I have to go back to work to take a 1 pm conference call. I return to pharmacy at 2:30 pm, wait in line for 15 minutes. Get to the counter, they say “we need 30 minutes.” I give them 30 minutes, come back at 3 pm, wait in line another 15 minutes. I get to the counter and they say “we don’t have that medication in stock.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME.nnSeriously, do not use this pharmacy. This is not the first time I’ve received such terrible customer service.
