Recently moved to Cedar city, but I’ve visited this church a few times over the past 4 years. Good message, but sadly you have to be part of a click or particular race to feel welcomed with the exception of long haired older gentleman who genuinely greets visitors. Every time I visited I felt members avoiding me or pretended not to see me. I purposely lingered a few more minutes to see if I was the only visitor being avoided. I noticed an elderly woman sadly walking out and no reached out. I’m a mature Christian and I will continue to serve the Lord, but this behavior is deterring to new believers. A warm welcome is the best impression. I honestly have never been more aware of being Hispanic even if I’m an American, educated, and have a career. No one should have to validate their existence or earn respect especially in the house of God. I urge the pastor and his team to re-examine their hearts and see where there is room for spiritual growth and inclusivity of all races. I encourage to focus on the youth as well. I was a youth leader in my state and it is necessary to create an environment where the young people can worship with liberty and fall in love serving Christ. I witnessed a mother pressing down on her young son’s shoulder to keep him from clapping and moving along with the music. It broke my heart that it was not encouraged to have freedom to sing Unto to Lord As David did. It was exactly that freedom to worship that kept my now adult daughters in church and now they are serving, ministering in their local churches. Usher the presence of God with a more joyful 💜 . Pastor’s Bible studies are preachings are wonderful.

Friendly. Good Preaching. But not helpful to those needing a hand sometimes. Have to be part of the click.
