Circle K

I love the food and the employees are incredibly friendly. When I drop my son off at work, the dog and I usually stop there for breakfast. It's great being recognized, not only by the cashier, but by the food prep ladies as well.

Normally I would never take time to review a gas station, however my experience today was beyond anything I’ve experienced with a gas station clerk. The tall gentleman with glasses working the register around 1:30PM 12/4/19 was anything but friendly or courteous. We all know how to use chip cards these days. That said, I was checking out and placed my debit card in the reader and got the malfunction beep. Not once, not twice but three times. The reader then prompted me to use the mag strip. I slide my card and the clerk rudely tells me if it’s a chip card it needs to be inserted. (Did you not just see me do it three times?) My response was, “there was a malfunction and it prompted me to use the strip, I know how to use a card reader man.” He immediately stops me and storms to the back room saying he needs to get his manager because I am being rude... Is it not your job to interact with customers regardless of their attitude? I was in no way trying to be combative or even make a condescending comment, the insinuation was made that I am a moron who doesn’t know how to use a chip reader and he needed a manager to diffuse a situation he created. Poorest customer service experience I’ve ever had at a gas station, and let’s be real... interactions with any gas station employee are mediocre at best. This was an exceptionally upsetting event and I will not be stopping at another Circle K gas station if my life depends on it. That man has no business working in customer service. Too bad I didn’t catch his name.

They were open with restrooms when our previous 5 attempts to stop at a gas station restroom failed. Thank you for being open!!!!
